Taylor Mathews, a 2018 alumna, returns to her alma mater, where she’ll serve as an assistant coach for The College of Wooster’s volleyball team.
Mathews made an immediate impact after transferring in from Muskingum University as a junior. In two seasons, she dished out 1,470 assists, the seventh-most in program history. As a junior, the lefty served up seven aces at Kenyon College, which at the time tied the single-match program record for the current scoring era, while as a senior, Mathews racked up 44 aces, the fourth-most in the 25-point rally-scoring era.
A three-sport standout at Dover High School, Mathews was a two-time All-Ohio selection in volleyball and helped the team to the state semifinals as a senior.
Mathews graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology.
