First-year Jenny Grossmann continued her strong debut season with a four-goal performance as part of an overall dominant 15-5 Fighting Scots' win over Ohio Northern University on Friday evening at Ada, Ohio.

The College of Wooster (2-0) shot out to a 7-0 lead in just over 20 minutes of play, led by a pair of tallies from both Grossmann and junior Helena Enders, who capped the run with a free-position goal at the 8:39 mark.

Ohio Northern's Rachel Shipman got the Polar Bears (1-1) on the scoreboard 33 ticks later off the assist from teammate Maddie Storr, but the Scots responded right back with an Enders-to-Grossmann connection as Wooster took an 8-1 lead with 6:35 left in the half.

Goals for Storr and Elizabeth Carter brought Ohio Northern back to within five (8-3) with 4:42 remaining, but sophomore Jordan Stone, who followed up Wednesday's four-goal performance with a hat-trick against Ohio Northern, got on the board for the second time in the half as Wooster took a 9-3 lead going into the break.

Much like the first, a dominate run highlighted the second half for the Scots as they answered Storr's half-opening goal at the 26:47 mark with six unanswered goals of their own, including two unassisted tallies from junior Michaela Lawrence, who also added an assist off the goal from sophomore Megan Healy as she found the back of the net on her only shot of the day.

Concerning the possession battle, Healy proved critical for the Scots, as she recovered a game-high six draw controls while Grossmann scooped up a game-best five groundballs. Overall, five different Scots recorded at least three groundballs and three different players totaled two caused turnovers.

In goal, first-year Emma Hambright finished with four saves.

On the day, Wooster was 13-of-14 on clear attempts, including a perfect 9-for-9 in the second half, while the Scots totaled 34 shots compared to Ohio Northern's 16. Wooster was 2-of-6 on free position shots and won the groundball battle, 27-17.

Up next, the Scots take on the Rochester Institute of Technology (0-1) on Monday, March 13 at Englewood, Fla. as part of Wooster's Spring Break schedule.
