Jesse Williams, a recent graduate of Berry College, where he served as a student assistant on the 2017 NCAA Div. III Championships qualifying team, enters his second season at The College of Wooster. Williams will coach the Scots' wide receivers in 2019 after mentoring the strong safeties in his first season at the College.
Williams' impact coaching in the Scots' 4-2-5 secondary was felt from day one, as Wooster went on to have three of its five defensive backfield starters named to the all-conference team.
At Berry, Williams assisted with the cornerbacks for the 2017 season, and as a team Berry ranked fourth nationally in red zone defense, and advanced to the second round of the Div. III championships. Prior to serving as a student assistant, Williams was a special teams contributor for the Vikings.
He graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology.
