The College of Wooster football team opens North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 20 with a 2 p.m. home game against Wabash College at John P. Papp Stadium. The game is part of Homecoming for Alumni and Families Weekend. Wooster (1-1, 0-0 NCAC) is coming off a 28-14 win over Saint Vincent College, while Wabash (2-0, 0-0 NCAC) topped Case Western Reserve University 38-28.

Last Meeting: Jace Austin sparked Wooster early with a score-opening 70-yard touchdown run in a 55-19 Wabash win on Oct. 5, 2024 at John P. Papp Stadium. The Little Giants totaled 334 yards rushing and averaged 7.6 yards per carry en route to finishing the day with 577 yards of offense to Wooster's 301.

Michael Boyle (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) currently ranks in the top-10 in Div. III in passing yards (sixth, 704), passing touchdowns (seventh, eight), and passing yards per game (eighth, 352.0), a total that has him tops in the NCAC. Boyle is 15th nationally with 16.8 yards per completion, another stat that his him sitting at the top of the conference leaderboard. Senior

Jordan Lewis (Akron, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) is 14th with 244. Six of Wooster's nine touchdowns have been from at least 30 yards out.
Defense Notes: Journell is back to being a two-way player for the Scots and logged an interception for one of Wooster's four takeaways in last Saturday's win over St. Vincent. Wooster leads the NCAC with five turnovers gained on the year, a total that is 28th out of 237 Div. III programs. Wooster had two interceptions last week. Sophomore defensive back

Ivan Majestic (Singapore/International Community School) has changed his number from 70 to 73. Â Wooster will recognize its W Association Hall of Fame class at halftime of Saturday's game following the conclusion of the Scot Marching Band and Scot Pipe Band performance. The W Association's induction ceremony takes place Friday night.
